Game Modelling - UVs

With our game model character completed, we have also laid out UVs with Game design principles in mind. Namely, the UVs are combined together on a single sheet where repeated parts such as hands and shoes are left overlapping to mirror, effectively maximising texture space.

Hey Leo - time to get some Transcription stuff on here? Things seemed to be getting very interesting, what with those latest silhouettes of assembled junk. Alan did say that he thought you were a bit confused re. the focus of your efforts, but, in truth, Alan and I are pushing you towards the same thing; strong, innovative character design + an emphasis on opportunities in your piece for showcasing some quality animation. Come on, Leo - let's see some momentum and some excitement on here... looking forward to it! :D

Hi Phil, I know things have been a bit quiet on here. I guess I've been feeling a little stressed and overwhelmed of late, and have put off on posting here when I should be. Hopefully, I'll turn things around soon and really get things going on here - so watch this space!

You're going through a period of transition, Leo - breaking a barrier and feeling a bit compass-less; if I said I thought this period was invaluable to your longterm success, would you feel any better? I DO believe it - and so should you. The 2nd year is often very stressful for students who enjoyed a successful year one; it's the process, and it's working - just look at those wonderful junkyard characters you've got to work with now! :D

Be happy, Leo - be productive.
