Basidiospores (the spores of the mushroom) concept piece
Continuing with the otherworldly theme with a visually engaging aesthetic, I've created the spores as if on a completely different world, with tentacle like spores growing from the underneath surface of the mushroom on a microscopic level. Additionally, I've used a bolder colour scheme to avoid the sterile x-ray monotone aesthetic when compared to the references, hopefully making for a much more stimulating effect.

Yea I agree, this is really nice, I like the dust that it seems to have, gives it that microscopic feel.
yeah i love the detail looks rele filmic. good job!
Cheers Godwin, think I spent a little longer than I would have liked on this but I think the details pay off. Mushrooms are very healthy so don't be put off! The inside of the dasidium, (basidium)? Ooo can't wait. Actually I think these references could be useful

Click on some of the links will reveal the insides of things. Hope it helps.
Thanks Jordan, I think I overuse the dust but it does help to convey the scale on that level :)
Ah yes and thanks Jack, you comment just came up :)
and I like the depth of field here - I think real world conventions such as focus pull and ariel perspective etc. will help to sell these micro worlds as landscapes...
Thanks Phil, yes the depth of field felt right here, which can be done by layering elements with colour/tonal variations along with a blur/sharpen to emphasise the sense of space.
