I think your snowman can and should be very cute - now that I've seen your storyboard, I think you should play to the audiences sympathies for him - so that when the fridge goes 'bang', the audience thinks 'serves him right'... I know you've emptied out the first scene of a clear location in an attempt to speed things along, but I do think you need to somehow establish that the snowman comes in from the outside - otherwise the fact that the fridge is plugged in seems odd (because we're outside); why don't you start with the snowman, then the sun, then the snowman goes into house - and your story starts as already boarded; I'm sure you can find a clean economic way to accomplish this set up...
